Department of Grain Quality

Department of Grain Quality conducts the research on factors affecting quality and health safety of cereals.   

It is a workplace specialized in analyses and evaluation of grain quality, and soil and plant analyses.
The department includes a laboratory accredited by the Czech Institute of Accreditation as testing laboratory no. 1463.

Subjects of accreditation are:

• Testing quality of cereals and products made from them  
• Testing soil and plant material

Main activities of the department

• conducting research projects  
• lectures and publication activity, cooperation with foreign institutions  
• services provided – laboratory analyses of cereals and products made from them, analyses of soil and plant material  

Objectives of research projects

• research on factors affecting quality and health safety of cereals  
• research on non-food use of cereals
